A process driven piece, playing with textural mark making, white space and opacity. The work's movement evokes the presence of the harrowing but ethereal plume that is created when lava meets the ocean, a sight all too familiar and awe-inspiring during the 2018 Kilauea eruption. Laze is part of a larger, ongoing series called, DISPLACED.
