DESCRIPTION:
Overlapping sweeps of cobalt, slate, and pale blue fold around a central cobalt zigzag. Darker grey washes close in from the edges, like light fading with depth. Stained washes and spray-paint texture build the surface in thin layers. From the Wipeout Series, which translates the experience beneath the surface during a wipeout into abstract form.
DESCRIPTION:
A soft top is the foam surfboard most surfers learn on, and the palette of this diptych takes its cue from one. A broad pale arc spans both panels as a single wave form. On the left, a dark navy wedge carries strokes of coral and pale blue over a yellow wash; on the right, a
heavy navy zigzag cuts across the curve. Acrylic and spray paint on canvas. From the Wipeout Series, which translates the experience beneath the surface during a wipeout into abstract form.
